What a whirlwind

These past two weeks have been a complete whirlwind and I'll be really glad when life decides to slow down just a little.

A dear online friend lost her fight with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20th.  She will be very missed.  MiddayFaire will be having a special benefit starting on June 16th and running through June 19th.

Tabitha will be getting ear tubes put in next Wednesday and has a consult with a dermatologist on Tuesday.  While I look forward to not having to deal with the constant ear infections, I really hate having to put her through the surgery to get that relief.  She's been a pill for the last couple of days because she is seriously teething and has a nasty cold on top of it.

I spent two nights last week in the Emergency room with my oldest daughter, Kyra.  She has a very painful ovarian cyst... and ended up being allergic to the pain meds they gave her the first visit.  She was in so much pain that she couldn't keep anything down and was severely dehydrated.  She has a followup with our local doc this afternoon.  Oh... and she moved back home on Sunday.  This is a temporary thing that is supposed to help her get back on her feet financially and still be safe.  It's a bit of a rough transition trying to put Tabitha and Eliana in the same room right now though.  We could definitely use some prayer about the whole situation.

And, then there's the spotting I've had on a couple of nights in the past week.  The doc wants to just watch things and have me rest a bit more.  It's still got me a touch unnerved.  I am praying that God's mercy reigns.

Still no news on the house front.  We haven't even had a single looker yet.  But, the market really does suck and we have a higher end home.  Still praying about this one.  I still feel very strongly that we are to move back near the church.  But, I know that His timing is perfect.

Okay... back to resting a bit.  I need to see if i can eat something yet.  My tummy has been very upset this morning.  It seems a little better now.  Then, I'm going to try to get some embroideries done this afternoon.

We are increasing

Last Monday, the 7th, I was feeling really "off" and decided that I just felt pregnant.  So, I took a test.  And, it came up positive right away.  I am still in shock.  I still feel "off".  God must have some amazing plans coming up.  I will have an early ultrasound next Wednesday to make sure the baby is in the right place and to check dates.  This was only my second postpartum cycle and I wasn't able to chart because of Tabitha's teething (we were up a LOT during the nights).

So, praise God!  We are pretty sure that we'll be due in mid-January.  Perhaps we should start looking into one of those 11+ seater vans now.  Of course, my hubby can't stand driving the full-sized conversion van we've got now.  He thinks it's a tank.  LOL.

Anyway.. that's what has been keeping me busy... or not allowing me to be getting enough accomplished.  I'm busily working my way through my custom order list and trying to work on some in-stock items at the same time.

Job 5:8-11 ~ But as for me, I would seek God, And I would place my cause before God; Who does great and unsearchable things, Wonders without number.  He gives rain on the earth And sends water on the fields, So that He sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

Random Hearthoughts

It's been a busy week, and I like it that way.  I'm almost finished with one order and got a good start on another.  Then, I've got several other orders lined up to finish up next week.  I've also got a baby shower set to finish this coming week and a baby cake to get done.  Well, I'm going to order the cake.  I was going to make it, but I'm not up to that right at the moment.

Tabitha had her 9 month apppointment yesterday.  She weighs 18lbs, 3oz and is 26 3/4 inches long.  She is crawling everywhere!  We have two followup referral appointments.  One with the audiologist to check out her hearing.  I think she's fine... just a late bloomer.  She JUST started "babbling".  The other appointment is with the dermatologist.  We have to get the birthmark on her wrist checked out, as she keeps having recurrent cysts pop up through the middle of it.  Otherwise, she's doing fantastic.

Still no bites on the house.  I am sure that God's timing is perfect and that the right person will come along at just the right time.  I, of course, wish that time was this weekend.  There are a lot of things going on right now and I really want this uncertainty done away with.  We'll see what God's plans are.

Kyra Kyra Kyra... my heart aches for her right now.  She is so confused and this is NOT of God.  She has turned her back on her family and everything that she was raised to believe in.  And, what's worse... she doesn't think that the choices she's making affect her family or mean that she has turned away from us.  She wants to have her cake and eat it too.  What young adult doesn't feel this way at some point early in life, you say?!?  Well, we had prayed that ours would never feel that way.  She thinks that this is freedom.  Constantly being in fear of your life and health.  Always having to fret about money and friends.  Always being in the middle of "high school" drama.  My heart is broken and I am continually on my knees for her very heart and soul.  Lord, soften her heart and touch her very soul that she would KNOW the depths of Your love for her.

This is the day the Lord has made... I will REJOICE and be glad in it.  The Lord is doing some amazing works in my own heart and home.  I can't wait to have more time to sit and share them.  But, for the moment I have little ones who need me and a sewing table that is begging to get cleaned off.  Have an awesome day everyone... and Happy Mother's Day (just in case I don't get to post again by then)!

The land of teething

... is a VERY scary place.  Poor Tabitha is just miserable right now.  It's awfully hard to get much done when she wants nothing else but to be held and comforted by mommy.  I pray this passes quickly.  Time for more tylenol and gum nummies.

It's gorgeous outside!

Wow... this week has been gorgeous outside.  And, my house is still amazingly clean considering we have 3 small children and us two adult slobs living in it while it's up for sale.  Nothing new on that front, but we're kind of expecting that.

Tabitha started crawling this week!  She's such a doll.  Now, if I could just keep her out of the drawers to my sewing tables, we'd be all set.  So, I'm working on cleaning up the room to make it "Tabi-safe".

I've also got a lot of orders that I'm working on right now.  I actually enjoy being busy.  I have a trade that I need to follow up on.  Actually... I need to find my yarn so that I can send it to her.  I've got a baby shower this month that I need to do some small AIOs for.  And, another young mother that I'm going to be setting up with some cloth next month.

Time to get back to the cutting table or I'll never get any of these orders done.  I decided I'm not posting my to-do list this week either.  I'm better off working on it instead of posting about it this week.  ;-)

Have a glorious weekend everyone!
