A new day is dawning

It's official... the house is on the market.  Now, we just wait and pray.

Today I am trying to lock myself in the sewing room and get some serious sewing done.  But, it's not working very well.  I'm probably going to be doing more work after the littles go to sleep than before.  But, that's what being a mom is about.

Right now, Noah is working on his math studies, Eliana is down for a 1 hour quiet time and Tabitha is napping peacefully.  I'll post a to-do list later tonight... just to keep myself on the ball.

I'm working on a really cute butterfly embroidery that I'm trying to get done for tomorrow's MiddayFaire stocking.  We are doing "my favorite things" for a theme this month and I'm excited about it.  I've also got three custom slots up in my cart today and other work that I've got on the sewing table.  I'm actually excited to be getting back into a groove now that the massive effort to get the house ready is complete.

The Lord has been very merciful to me and I'm looking forward to what the next few months will bring.

Godspeed... ~ Tiffani

Frazzled

Wow... this week is gonna be a doozy!  I didn't bother to post this weeks to-do list because it was just too long and overwhelming... and had very little to do with MudpieBabies.  The house goes on the market tomorrow night and we've been in the last minute push to get all the little (and big) things finished.  We've painted, gotten the carpets cleaned, scrubbed bathrooms and the kitchen, sorted, sifted, and purged.  I will be SO glad to get to this weekend and breathe again.

I've been thinking of and praying alot for Steph.  I'm not sure why, but she's been on my heart a lot lately.  I am praying that she has an awesome time in Egypt and that her family is well cared for while she's gone.  I miss her.

I have to take a moment to thank the ladies who are being so patient and waiting on me for orders right now.  I will be back to sewing on Friday for a little bit... but seriously back to sewing on Monday.

Mom and daddy leave on Saturday for nearly three weeks away.  We will miss them a LOT, but are very glad that they are getting this time away to rest and relax and have fun.  I will however seriously miss my sewing partner.  It will be a good challenge to see how smoothly things go with me on my own with the three littles ... and still trying to sew... and keep the house clean.  Hee hee.

Tomorrow I have a few minor areas to pick up and then two fairly large areas to finish.  I have to finish decluttering my loft office.  It was clean... now it's a mess again.  That HAS to be finished tomorrow so that the realtor can take photos.  Then, there's the sewing room.  What can I say?!?  It's going to be a mess and there's nothing I can do about that.  I work in there almost every day and there's NO way I'm going to have it spotless and/or keep it that way.  So, I'm doing my best to tidy it up a bit and keep it looking presentable.

We appreciate all your kind thoughts and prayers.  On one hand... I hope it doesn't sell and we stay right here... on the other... I very strongly pray that it sells right away and we can be done with this turmoil.  We'll see what God does.

Tired

I am bone weary tired.  And I've still got a ton to get done.  The carpet cleaners will be here Monday morning.  As soon as they are gone, I have to get to touch up painting.  Then, get everything put back together and "freshened up" once again.  I also need to find the number for the cleaning lady my hubby asked me to call... and get her to come once a week while the house is on the market.

And, Tabi is not sleeping well these days.  I'm praying tonight is a better night.

Will write more soon.  I'm just buried with house selling prep work right now.  I don't even think I'm going to have time to finish my special thing to list this Tuesday at MDF.  That will probably have to wait till the first Tuesday in May or something.

I'm off to try to read my Bible before heading to sleep.  I hope I can keep my eyes open long enough.

House Cleanout

Today we are working heavily on getting rooms sorted and emptied out so that we can prepare for listing the house for sale.  I have most of the 3 childrens' rooms cleaned out.  I need to completely empty out Noah's closet and get the girls dressers in order.  Then, I need to deal with each of their bathrooms.

I finally have all of my fabric sorted and organized in Tabitha's closet upstairs.  Now, I have to tackle my office/loft upstairs.  It is a MESS!!!  I also have to get my bedroom/bathroom emptied out.  I think all of that's going to happen during the coming week.

The rest of today I am going to work on Mudpies sewing stuff and get the dining room and downstairs bathroom in order.  Next Saturday is going to be dedicated to getting the kitchen/living room all in order.  I will be scheduling carpet cleaners to come out sometime between the 20th and the 24th.  Careful planning is necessary for that.  I need to have the rest of the house basically done (except perhaps touchup painting) so that we can move all of the furniture and then put it all back.

Happy Saturday!  :-)

Friday Musings

My sister and neice are heading home today.  I am glad that she got to come out here... but sorry that she has to leave and go back so far away.  The visit felt so short... in part because my children weren't feeling well so I was keeping my distance the last two days.  And, we definitely missed having her husband come out with her.

Tabitha is doing a little better.  She was still up a lot last night.  I finally figured out that I cannot eat apples anymore or she's up all night screaming with gas pain.  We also got the spot in her birthmark checked at the peds yesterday.  She has a birthmark on her right outer wrist and this week is the second time a cyst has burst through it.  Honestly, it worries me more than I'd like to admit.  We are keeping an eye on it still.  But, we'll most likely be going to a pediatric dermatologist as soon as she is 1 year old to have it further evaluated.  She is also working hard on crawling.

Noah and Eliana have been struck with another cold and have the sniffles and a touch of asthmatic wheezing.  I am praying that they are much better in the next day or two so that we don't have any issues with church on Easter Sunday.  At least I'm not scheduled to sing this Sunday... so I don't have to worry about being there super early.

I have a lot on my plate right now with the possiblility of an upcoming move.  But, I am trusting that God is in control and will guide me and my husband in our every step.  I am somewhat heartbroken by the fact that it seems my parents are distancing themselves even further in advance of our move.  It's almost as if they are saying, "You're not going to have us around when you move, so you may as well get used to it now".  That is so hard.  God may not have us move at all.  And, before we move is when I really do need the most help with the little ones and everything else.  I can see their side.  But, this still hurts.  Maybe God is doing something else and I just can't see it.  Whatever it is... I miss the closeness with my parents that just doesn't feel like it's the same right now.

Time to run.  I have PUL to mark and cut, embroideries to prepare (select threads, load onto the disk, etc.), and other preparation to get out of the way.  Tabitha is NOT happy about playing on the floor by herself and Eliana is really getting into mischief.  It's time to go play with them for a bit and put Tabi down for a nap before I can get to work.

Lord, order my day and provide the strength and self-discipline that I need to get done what YOU would have me to accomplish.  Let me be content to be a mommy and keeper of my home... even when it feels unglorified and unappreciated.  ;-)  Amen!

Tired and weary

I was up most of the night with Tabi, who had an upset tummy and generally didn't feel well.  So, I am exhausted.  I still have to finish the work on my stuff for listing at MDF at noon.  Not much time... and still plenty to do.  All of us are sufferring from allergy issues right now.

I am weary and struggling with a heartache.  I am very worried about my oldest daughter, Kyra.  She is struggling with issues of faith that she professed to be settled years ago.  She has a head knowledge of how much God loves her... but her heart is far from Him.  She wants God on her terms... and life her way.  She struggles with why God would allow the things that are going wrong in her life right now.  But, she forgets that God is a jealous God and wants her wholly.  My heart is just broken from watching her struggle.

I cannot explain WHY God allowed me to suffer through three horribly painful and heartwrenching miscarriages after Noah was born... and before He allowed us to keep Eliana.  I cannot explain WHY God continues to allow me to suffer with PCOS.  I cannot explain WHY God allowed me to suffer heartache after heartach before I came to Him fully.  But, I KNOW that I am who I am today... because of it all.  I KNOW that God loves me.  He has blessed my home in ways that I cannot begin to explain.  He has provided for us when it seemed impossible.  I could write a novel.  But, it's simpler to just say that I have NO doubts that God is real, He loves me, and He is the savior of my soul.  I can only pray that one day Kyra can say those same things and truly believe them.  I pray that she doesn't do anything more that she will regret in the meantime.
